COVID 19 Operations Update June 17, 2020

The Community Development Department is conducting business and prioritizing essential tasks that include processing plans, permits or other approvals that maintain the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences and businesses. Work will continue on non-essential projects as staff time permits, with priority given to the essential projects described above.

The Community Development Department, located on the fourth floor of the ANF Building at 48 Yaney Ave in Sonora, has modified its operational hours as follows: Monday through Thursday, From 8:30 AM-12:00 PM and 1:00 PM-3:00 PM, closed on Fridays. Please use the hand sanitizer, available in our lobby, prior to entering the front counter area. If more than four customers are being helped in our counter area, we will ask you to wait in the lobby in order to maintain social distancing.

Environmental Health and Building Division Inspections are on-going and will continue to maintain a regular schedule, Monday - Friday, as long as social distancing can be maintained and applicants on site do not exhibit signs of illness.
