New State regulations require jurisdictions to make substantial changes to their Housing Elements. The draft Housing element update incorporates these required changes. The draft housing element contains:

• policies and implementation strategies to be undertaken over the next five years
• a review of the 2019-2024 Housing Element update including actions taken over the past five years
• updated data on housing, development, population, employment and other community characteristics, and
• new maps showing vacant residential parcels that can be utilized for residential development

The 2024-2029 Housing Element Update has been adopted and certified. The final draft can be found here.
