The Tuolumne County Public Works Department's, Division of Solid Waste is excited to announce the launching of our “Don’t Trash Tuolumne” website and campaign. The website and campaign are part of a project made possible by a grant from the California Department of Transportation, Clean CA grant program, awarded to the Public Works Department in February of 2023.
This non-infrastructure project will target all of Tuolumne County, with the goal of eliminating existing litter and illegal dumping hotspots and encouraging residents and visitors to keep Tuolumne County clean, safe, and beautiful. The project is comprised of three main components: a mascot design competition at Tuolumne County K-12 schools, a robust countywide marketing campaign, and several community cleanup events.
