Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA)

On August 2nd, 2023, The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced procurable funding to reduce diesel emissions, protect public health, and air quality. Approximately $115 million dollars will be anticipated to assist qualifying nationwide applicants. 

The programs goal aims to significantly reduce diesel emissions and exposure, particularly from fleets operating at goods movements facilities in areas designated as having poor air quality. Applicants may requesting funding through DERA to upgrade or replace older diesel-powered busses, trucks, marine engines, locomotives and non-road equipment with newer, efficient and cleaner technologies.
