Several outdoor audible alert sirens have been placed on existing features within communities that will be used to notify residents and visitors of an evacuation. These sirens are meant to notify those who are outdoors in that local area and not everyone will hear them depending on wind, topography and or location.
If you hear a siren, pay attention to local radio stations and authorized official social media for more information.
Current siren locations include: Groveland, Twain Harte, Tuolumne, Cold Springs and Strawberry.
