CalFresh Healthy Living (formerly SNAP-Ed) supports healthy, active, and nourished lifestyles, with an emphasis on communities with the greatest health disparities. We teach people of all ages about good nutrition, physical activity, and how to stretch food dollars, while building partnerships in the county to make the healthy choice the easy choice in our community.

New Melones Trail Map

  • Indigeny Walking Trails: A map of 6 walking trails on the Indigeny property. Open 7 days a week, 8:00am-6:00pm. No access is allowed to trails outside of open hours.

Indigeny Walking Trails

Walk or wheel on paved surfaces!

  • Tuolumne Memorial Park: 0.25miles once around the park.
  • Junction Shopping Center: 0.4miles starting at Kohl’s and walking to the other end of the shopping center where the sidewalk ends.
  • Mary Laveroni Community Park in Groveland: 0.5miles starting at the bus stop and making a complete loop around the park.
  • Twain Harte Golf Course to Fuller Rd/Meadow Dr.: 0.65miles round-trip along Meadow Dr. starting at the golf course.
  • Cabezut Road to Cabezut Court in Sonora: 2miles round-trip along the Cabezut Rd. sidewalk starting at the Sylva Ln. intersection (uphill/downhill).
  • Jamestown Elementary School to Patterson Field: miles round-trip along 5th Ave. starting at the school and heading south past Railtown to the field.
  • Sonora Courthouse Route (map from Blue Zones Project Tuolumne County): 1 mile round-trip (map below)

GET INVOLVED

Our program offers a variety of services within Tuolumne County. To get involved, please contact the CalFresh Healthy Living Program at (209) 533-6818.

  • Nutrition and physical activity education at K-8 schools and local youth centers.
  • Nutrition education for adults (at approved sites) with hands-on cooking and/or tasting of healthy foods and beverages.
  • School & community gardens, school wellness policies, and 'smarter lunchrooms.'
  • Tuolumne Thrives community coalition: Tuolumne Thrives members encourage and empower Tuolumne County residents to make healthy eating and physical activity choices.
