The Property Program provides insurance to protect the county against losses of its physical property, consisting of buildings, vehicles, and equipment.
Loss or destruction of property should be reported to Human Resources / Risk Management immediately.
For vehicle damage, an automobile accident report must be completed and submitted to County Counsel. Insurance information should be obtained from the other driver, and the names and addresses of witnesses should also be obtained, if possible.
If property is stolen or damaged, report it to Human Resources / Risk Management. Stolen property should be reported to law enforcement.
Property items that are damaged due to flood, fire, or any other incident must be reported to Human Resources / Risk Management staff.
