Who Qualifies

WIC serves:

  • WIC serves:
    • Infants and children up to age 5
    • People who are pregnant
    • People who have given birth up to six months postpartum
    • People who are breastfeeding up to one year postpartum
    • Partners or single parents caring for a child under the age of 5
    • Grandparents or guardians who are caring for a child under the age of 5
    • Foster parents of an eligible child(ren)
    • All documented or undocumented persons in a family who meet eligibility requirements


WIC is an income based supplemental food program. To qualify, you must meet the income guidelines OR the person for whom you are applying must have active Medi-Cal, CalFresh (SNAP), or participates in the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) OR a member of the individual’s family is actively receiving CalWorks (TANF) benefits.
