Biography
Mr. Nesper joined the Tuolumne County, Office of the County Counsel as a Deputy County Counsel in 2014. His current assignments include, Agricultural Commissioner Land Use, Airport Land Use, Code Compliance, Community Development Department, Facilities Management, Fire Departments & Districts, Public Works, Environmental Health, Solid Waste, LAFCO, and Surveyor.
Born and raised in Tuolumne County, Mr. Nesper developed a deep appreciation of the County's natural geography, rich history, and tight-knit community. Mr. Nesper attended the Sierra Waldorf School and Sonora High School. After graduating from Sonora High School in 2005, Mr. Nesper earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2009.
In 2013, Mr. Nesper graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law, earning, with distinction, specialization certificates in public interest law and environmental law, and was admitted to the California State Bar in December of that year.
Before joining the Office of the County Counsel, Mr. Nesper worked as a Graduate Fellow for the Golden Gate University Environmental Law and Justice Clinic, where he represented nonprofit and community organizations in environmental justice matters.
