Cody NesperBiography
Mr. Nesper joined the Tuolumne County's Office of the County Counsel as Deputy County Counsel in 2014. His primary focus in his representation of the county is advocating for Child Welfare Services in juvenile dependency cases. 

Born and raised in Tuolumne County, Mr. Nesper developed a deep appreciation of the county's natural geography, rich history, and tight-knit community. Mr. Nesper attended the Sierra Waldorf School and Sonora High School. After graduating from Sonora High School in 2005, Mr. Nesper earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2009.

In 2013, Mr. Nesper graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law, earning, with distinction, specialization certificates in public interest law and environmental law. During his time as a law student, Mr. Nesper was honored with the Faculty Award for Academic Excellence in Environmental Law, published a student comment in the Golden Gate University Environmental Law Journal, and was active in student organizations. Mr. Nesper also worked as a teaching assistant, a research assistant and interned for a number of environmental nonprofits in the Bay Area.

Before joining the Office of the County Counsel, Mr. Nesper worked as a Graduate Fellow for the Golden Gate University Environmental Law and Justice Clinic, where he represented nonprofit and community organizations in environmental justice matters.
