On February 16, 2021, Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors voted to create the Tuolumne County Fire Safety Advisory Committee. The goal of this new committee is to assist the board as they work towards their identified top priority of preventing loss of life and reducing property damage due to catastrophic fire. This committee will advise the Board on how to further achieve the Board’s goal and objectives as it relates to Fire Safety, allow for substantial public involvement, and create an opportunity for collaboration with our partner agencies. Vision: We envision a resilient landscape that is less susceptible to catastrophic fire effects with reduced risk to public health and safety, proactive communication with a clear, unified message, safe and orderly evacuations with no loss of life, and the public who are educated, prepared and practicing. Mission: We exist to build fire safety and resilience through community collaboration, education, and participation.
