The Federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Agency provides funds to states to principally benefit low income people, eliminate slums and blight, and/or meet an urgent community development need. The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) administers this funding to local jurisdictions through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The County has previously received CDBG funding for housing rehabilitation, public services, community facilities, public works projects, planning grants, small business loan Over the Counter program and the Enterprise Fund. Tuolumne County currently administers their housing programs in-house. Our long term CDBG consultant is retiring, and the County needs to obtain a new CDBG Consultant. This consultant would prepare proposals, implement CDBG projects and provide, on a as needed basis, consulting services for the County's Housing Program.
