[ARCHIVED] Isidro Uriostegui-Jimenez Sentenced to 26 years State Prison for Sex Crimes

Sonora, California –– Tuolumne County District Attorney Cassandra Jenecke announced today that on July 8, 2022, Jamestown resident Isidro Uriostegui-Jimenez was sentenced to 26 years in State Prison for sex crimes against a child.

The sentence comes after Mr. Uriostegui-Jimenez plead guilty to three counts of  Sodomy by Use of Force Against a Minor Under 14 years of age in violation of Penal Code section 286(c)(2)(B), one count of   Sodomy by Use of Force Against a Minor 14 years of age or older in violation of Penal Code section 286(c)(2)(C), and one count of Sexual Penetration by Force of a Minor 14 years of age or older in violation of Penal Code section 289(c)(2)(C).

Mr. Uriostegui-Jimenez sexually assaulted a minor from the age of 7 to 14 years old starting first in Mexico, then continued when he moved her family to join him in Merced, and ultimately at his more recent home in Jamestown. Showing great courage, the minor reported the abuse to a local teacher whom she trusted at her school. A complete investigation was conducted by Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office. The case was prosecuted by Samantha Arnerich.
