Various Locations - The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors has awarded the Contract # 1700, “Roadway Signing Safety Audit” to TJKM Transportation Consultants, to survey roadside signs on 404 miles of local roads in Tuolumne County. The replacement of the signs will be completed under a separate construction contract.
Work on this project will begin on October 10, 2018 and continue through spring 2018.
Important points regarding the project are as follows:
- Trucks mounted with cameras and GPS locators will travel during daytime hours in order to collect street sign data.
- A van mounted with cameras, including flashing lights, will travel after dark to measure the nighttime visibility of signs.
- DBI Services is the sub-consultant on this project.
