[ARCHIVED] Tuolumne City Branch Closure

Tuolumne City Branch Library will remain closed indefinitely due to the substantial water and leak damage to the left wall facing the playground. Tracie Riggs, Deputy County Administrator and Office of Emergency Services Coordinator, states “The entire wall needs to be replaced and the work cannot be completed until we have good weather. Everything has been covered with tarps to prevent damage to materials but the library is unsafe for use by staff and public activities.” Library staff is making arrangements to relocate some of the special services and programs. We will update the public as we get more information. Families are welcome to attend Story Time in Twain Harte on Wednesdays from 1:30 to 2:00 PM or Sonora Main, Tuesday through Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Twain Harte Branch also hosts “Come Sit and Knit” on the first, third, and fifth Fridays of the month. All skill levels are invited to bring their projects and questions to share with fellow knitters. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the public’s patience.

Please feel free to contact the Sonora Main Library for additional information at 533-5507.

We are always open online where library materials can be renewed at www.tuolcolib.org or by phone (24 hours) at 533-1648 during this closure.
