Child Health and Disability Prevention Program: Audiometric Screening Training

This training will provide participants with the necessary knowledge to conduct an audiometric screening using the play audiometry technique with children ages three to six years old.

Play Audiometry is a modification of standard pure tone screening; play audiometry conditions the child to respond to the sound by placing a toy in a container, rather than raising their hand.

Recertification is required, every four years, for all personnel conducting audiometric screening for CHDP well child exams. If you have not done a screening within one year, you must get re-certified.

This training is intended for CHDP providers in Tuolumne County. Providers in other counties should contact your local CHDP program for local training opportunities and resources.

Please feel free to print any of the materials or resources for your own reference.
