Phases to Get COVID Vaccine

Vaccine will be very limited at first and delivery of the vaccine will be prioritized. Tuolumne County is following federal and state guidelines for priority groups. Public Health is also working with healthcare and community partners to make sure the vaccine is distributed equitably.

We are now vaccinating anyone age 16 and older (18 and older for Moderna & Janssen) based on vaccine availability. Vaccine is being administered primarily at Closed Points of Dispensing (PODs) by appointment and at pharmacies and clinics as noted on the main vaccine page (some clinics and pharmacies may not yet be open to age 16+ until April 15).

Sign up to be notified when a clinic is open near you and register for an appointment at MyTurn.ca.gov or call 833-422-4255.

Distribution of COVID-19 vaccine will be done in phases. These phases are broadly determined by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) based on their own work and taking into account phases per the National Academies of Sciences. The ACIP advises the CDC on vaccine recommendations.

The ACIP is tentatively scheduled to hold emergency virtual meetings to further discuss populations in the next phases. As new guidance is released from ACIP and the State, we will update the information provided on this website.**
